Designed for the CHAUVET Ovation F‑55WW and Similar Compact Spotlights

This road case is built specifically for the CHAUVET Ovation F‑55WW, a compact LED inkie Fresnel‑style fixture with a cuboid‑like profile and a mounting bracket. These fixtures are small but not exactly convenient to carry in bulk, especially when you need twelve of them ready for a show. This case gives each spotlight its own EVA‑lined slot, keeping everything organized and protected during transport.

Although designed around the F‑55WW, the internal layout can also accommodate similar compact Fresnel‑style or spotlight fixtures from other brands. As long as the dimensions and bracket structure are close, the foam‑lined compartments provide a secure fit with only minor adjustments. This flexibility makes the case useful for rental houses, theatres, and production teams with mixed inventories.

Built with Durable Materials and a Precision‑Driven Manufacturing Process

The case is constructed from 9mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood, chosen for its ability to handle the unpredictable mix of heat, moisture, and general wear that comes with touring and studio work. The panels are bonded with phenolic resin glue, giving them strength and stability. Paired with 2mm heavy‑duty corner and edge extrusions and a combination of Penn Elcom and Armor hardware, the case feels solid from the moment you grab the handles.

Every panel, divider, and foam insert is precision‑cut using CNC machinery. This ensures that everything fits together cleanly and consistently, from the hinged lid to the EVA‑lined compartments. Once the components are cut, our experienced assembly team takes over. They follow a standard QC process that checks alignment, hardware installation, foam fit, and overall finish. The process is consistent across our product line, but each case still receives individual attention to ensure it performs the way it should.

Functional Features That Make Transporting Multiple Spotlights Easier

The hinged top lid opens fully, giving you quick access to all twelve fixture slots. Inside, thick EVA foam surrounds the fixtures, with more than 110mm of padding at the bottom to help isolate vibration and reduce shaking during transport. This is especially helpful for fixtures with delicate optics or brackets that benefit from extra cushioning.

Dividers made from 9mm plywood separate each fixture, providing durability and preventing the spotlights from shifting or bumping into each other. A rear accessory compartment offers space for cables, clamps, handles, and other essentials, keeping everything organized and easy to reach. A label dish on the lid makes identification quick during busy load‑ins.

Mobility is handled by solid wheels and well‑placed recessed handles, making the case surprisingly easy to move despite its capacity. The dimensions are truck‑friendly, so it stacks neatly with other cases in a standard touring pack. The low‑profile design helps keep the center of gravity down, which is always appreciated when rolling across uneven surfaces or up ramps.

Altogether, this case is built for the realities of studio work, theatre productions, and live events. It protects the fixtures, speeds up load‑ins, and keeps everything organized, all while holding up to the demands of the road.

ARMOR currently owns and operates a manufacturing facility located in Auburn, NSW in Australia. Apart from that we have OEM factories in Guangzhou, China for our bulk orders for Australia and international customers. Our Auburn workshop mainly focus on small and urgent domestic orders with less than 5 weeks lead time, while the Guangzhou OEM factories work on non-urgent orders with a lead time of 8-10 weeks, with MOQ of 10 per product and can ship internationally.

Road cases built in both workshops are exactly the same. They are based on the same product designs and specifications including materials and manufacturing processes. Both locations are equipped with high precision machineries including CNC routers operated by experienced staff.

Our Sydney workshop can respond to urgent orders and lead time can be 1 to 5 weeks depending on case design process and current workload at the workshop.

Manufacturing lead time from China location is usually 4 weeks. On top of that there will be shipping lead time depending on customer locations. For example, shipping from China to Australia by sea, typically takes another 4 weeks.
